This poster was created as a free work inspired by the visual language of the Münchner Philharmoniker. Their concert posters reinterpret the orchestra’s logo in ever-new ways, reflecting the character of the music.

For Gustav Mahler’s Fifth Symphony, I chose the image of a folded letter sealed with wax in the shape of the logo. The concept is rooted in the notion that this symphony has often been described as a love letter to Mahler’s wife.
